ALICE WATERS

LULU x HAMMER MUSEUM

GRATITIUDE

WITH

WESTWOOD

LOS ANGELES

I had the privilege of working with LULU, the celebrated restaurant in Westwood, Los Angeles with the legendary Alice Waters. My mission was clear: to revamp their media and craft a strategy that would elevate their image, making it more inviting and sophisticated.

Through a deep dive into their ethos, I was able to create a fresh visual style that aligned with their commitment to quality, sustainability, and local ingredients.

As part of the transformation, I created stunning photography and short films featuring Alice Waters and her passionate team. The focus was on showcasing their relationship with local artisans, the farmers market, and their unique approach to food sourcing.

A vision of food as culture, community, and conscience.

Art, culture, and farm-to-table dining—all under one roof at the Hammer Museum.

The Hammer Museum in Los Angeles is a dynamic cultural hub where contemporary art, thought-provoking exhibitions, and public programs inspire and challenge visitors. Founded by industrialist Armand Hammer and now part of UCLA, the museum is known for its commitment to social justice, free admission, and groundbreaking works that push artistic boundaries. With a focus on both established and emerging artists, the Hammer is a space where creativity thrives—making it the perfect home for LULU, a restaurant that shares the same values of innovation, sustainability, and community.

A celebration of regenerative agriculture, culinary artistry, and timeless hospitality.

DAVID TANIS —

Each photo and video reflected their core values of community, sustainability, and culinary excellence.

Every plate tells a story of sustainability, flavor, and purpose.

The project was a profound journey, not only reshaping LULU's visual identity but also deepening my understanding of the future of food and its connection to the land.

It reinforced my belief in the power of food to tell a beautiful, sustainable story and how important it is to bring that narrative to life through the lens.

Working with LULU not only transformed their visual story but also deepened my passion for showcasing the intersection of food, community, and sustainability—an experience that continues to shape my creative journey.
